From all users:

• Contact Information: Name, email address, and telephone number.
• Account Credentials: Login authentication identifiers and session tokens.
• Device & Technical Data: IP address, device type, browser specifications, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, and basic usage telemetry such as pages viewed and interaction timestamps.

From Customers:

• Service Address: Street address, city, state, and ZIP code where work is requested.
• Job & Quote Details: Selected trade, project description, scope specifications, scheduling preferences, and notes.
• Uploaded Media: Photos uploaded to document service areas, such as rooflines, gutters, exterior walls, or yard debris.
• Billing: Direct payments for trade work are arranged between Customer and Provider. NearHand does not collect or store Customer card numbers for job payments.

From Providers:

• Business Information: Business and owner names, business address, service radius, trade specialties, and availability.
• Verification Documentation: Trade licensing, insurance coverage, and business-registration information submitted during onboarding.
• Profile Content: Business descriptions, service portfolios, and links to external verified profiles.
• Membership Billing: Payment-card details for monthly membership fees are processed directly by Stripe. NearHand does not store full card numbers or security codes.

• To operate the marketplace by matching Customer requests with nearby qualified Providers and facilitating scheduling.
• To deliver booking confirmations, schedule updates, quote notices, and administrative alerts via email and SMS.
• To bill and manage recurring Provider membership fees through Stripe.
• To verify Provider onboarding details, investigate reports, and mitigate fraud or misuse.
• To analyze aggregated, de-identified interactions and improve usability and booking reliability.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

NearHand does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Between Customers and Providers: Relevant request details, including name, phone number, service address, job specifications, and photos, are shared with the matched Provider to prepare quotes and deliver services.
• Infrastructure & Hosting: Lovable Cloud and Cloudflare provide hosting, application runtime, and encrypted database services.
• Billing & Payments: Stripe, Inc. securely processes Provider membership payments.
• Communications: Resend / Lovable Mail delivers transactional email notifications and alerts.
• Calendar Synchronization: Google Calendar API is used when a Provider voluntarily links a calendar.
• Legal & Compliance: We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect NearHand, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: User information may transfer as a business asset during a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to this Policy.

NearHand uses essential cookies and browser local storage strictly to maintain authenticated sessions, secure forms, and remember interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or data-broker analytics scripts.

By submitting your telephone number, you consent to operational text messages such as quote updates, arrival reminders, and schedule changes from NearHand and your matched Provider. You may opt out of non-essential messages by replying STOP. Standard message and data rates may apply.

• Account & Transaction Records: Retained while your account is active and for up to seven (7) years afterward for tax, legal, and accounting obligations.
• Communications & Consent Records: Consent and opt-out records are retained for at least five (5) years for TCPA and related compliance.
• Job Data & Photos: Intake details, job photos, and reviews are retained during active account status and for up to twenty-four (24) months after completion for re-booking, dispute resolution, and warranty documentation.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including SSL/TLS transit encryption, restricted database access controls, and encrypted credential storage. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely infallible, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights concerning your personal information:

• Access & Correction: Request a copy of your information or update inaccurate details through your account or by emailing us.
• Deletion: Request account and personal-information deletion, subject to statutory retention requirements such as billing or legal-dispute records.
• California Residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct information and to non-discrimination when exercising these rights. NearHand does not sell or share information for behavioral advertising.

The Platform is intended for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor submitted personal information, we will promptly delete it.

The Platform may link to external websites, including a Provider's website or third-party review services. NearHand is not responsible for their privacy practices, content, or policies.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
